Government and Public Sector Painting Contractors
Public work is won on capability and kept on paperwork. Chroma Coatings has completed federal, state, and municipal painting projects where the finish was only half the requirement and the documentation was the other half. We know what the forms ask for, and we submit them correctly the first time.
We serve federal agencies, state departments, municipalities, housing authorities, and the general contractors who build for them, from Raleigh through the East Coast.
Government & Public Sector
Federal, State & Municipal Facilities
Compliance and Documentation We Handle Every Day
Davis-Bacon Act Wage Compliance
We classify labor correctly, pay prevailing wages, and submit certified payroll on the schedule the contract requires. Contracting officers and prime contractors do not have to teach us the process.
AIA Documentation
Pay applications, schedules of values, change order documentation, and closeout submittals are prepared in standard AIA format and delivered on time.
Sales and Use Tax Forms
Public projects carry tax exemption and reporting requirements that trip up contractors who rarely see them. We complete sales and use tax documentation as part of standard project administration.
The Rest of the Package
Bonding, insurance certificates, submittals, product data, safety data sheets, MBE and WBE reporting where applicable, and closeout manuals.
Public Sector Projects We Have Completed
- United States Postal Service, Raleigh, North Carolina
- United States Postal Service, Miami, Florida
- North Carolina Department of Administration offices, Raleigh
- Multiple housing authority projects across the region
Working in Secure and Occupied Public Facilities
Government buildings rarely close. Post offices sort mail, agency offices serve the public, and housing authority properties are occupied by residents. Our crews work after hours, on weekends, and in phased areas so operations continue.
Where projects require background checks, badging, escorted access, or security clearance procedures, we complete them before mobilization. Our teams understand they are guests in a public facility and conduct themselves accordingly.
Safety Standards That Meet Federal Requirements
Every superintendent holds OSHA 30 and every employee holds OSHA 10. Crews hold aerial lift certifications and complete site specific safety training. Daily toolbox talks, full PPE, and documented safety procedures are standard, and we maintain the safety records public projects require.
Scope for Public Sector Facilities
- Interior and exterior painting for offices, courthouses, and administrative buildings
- Housing authority unit turns, corridors, and building exteriors
- Epoxy Flooring for maintenance bays, kitchens, and service areas
- Line Striping for parking lots, ADA stalls, and fire lanes
- Specialty Coatings for handrails, structural steel, and high wear surfaces
